New call for proposals for training national judges in EU competition law

The European Commission has published a call for proposals for training national judges in EU competition law. The purpose is to co-finance projects aimed at improving the knowledge, application and interpretation of EU competition law. The co-financing rate is up to 90% of the eligible costs.

Priority topics include the application of Articles 101 and 102 TFEU; the Directive 2014/104 on antitrust damages actions; economic principles of competition law; competition law in regulated industries; competition law applied in digital markets and State aid. Proposals outside of the priority topics may still be awarded a grant if the need for such training is justified in order to ensure proper application of EU competition law.
