This is a preliminary decision of the court. The plaintiffs were owners of a tenement that was supplied with electricity services by the defendant. They claim that the way they were being charged for such services was contrary to various laws, including those prohibiting unfair commercial practices since consumers were not given necessary information regarding how their bills are computed.

Their claim was also focused on the breach of the provisions of Directive 2011/83. Consumers were not given information in a clear and comprehensible manner about how their electricity bills were being computed. The defendants replied claiming that what plaintiffs are alleging is unclear and that it was not clear which provisions of the Directives are being breached. However, the Court disregarded the latter’s claims and ordered for the case to continue being heard on its merits.

The decision is currently awaiting final judgement.
