The author first presents the dual system of protection against unfair commercial practices and the content of the Green book on unfair commercial practices in the supply chain of food and non-food products between companies in Europe. In the second part, the author examines how broad the interpretation of the protected interests is actually allowed to be under Directive 2005/29 and to what extent is it appropriate to transfer the logic of consumer protection to the B2B relations, with the focus on the protection of the weaker party and the interpretation of the good faith standard.
