Consumer Sales and Guarantees Directive, link

The new Civil Code declares in its consolidated explanatory memorandum that, in the area of liability for defects, it reverts to the standard solutions and it distinguishes between the rights of the buyer arising from defects and law arising from the quality guarantee. Nevertheless, a number of conflicting legal opinions rose as to whether, since January 2014, the sale of goods in a store guaranteed the buyer a two-year legal guarantee for quality of goods. The article aims to answer those questions.
