The article provides a general overview on the national transposition of the UCP Directive.

The author analyses and explains the general concepts set forth in the national law, such as commercial practice, the material distortion of the economic behavior of consumers, etc.

The author further provides an analysis of practices specially intended to vulnerable consumers as well as on the several types of misleading and aggressive commercial practices.

Finally, the article presents the different means of action available in case of unfair commercial practices, including the right to request that a contract is considered non-valid, damages and inhibitory action.
