The authors focus on the prevalence of foreign currency-based loans in the field of Hungarian personal loans, with special attention given to the structure, system, and rules of Directive 93/13/EEC (but also touches on Directive 2005/29/EC). Furthermore, the authors review relevant Hungarian and EU jurisprudence, and also devote a section of their article to the study of Hungarian legislative measures intended to mitigate the fallout of these credit agreements.
