About EJN

The European Judicial Network in criminal matters (EJN criminal) is a network of national contact points in the EU Member States designated among central authorities and other competent authorities, with specific responsibilities in the field of judicial cooperation in criminal matters.

The role of the EJN is to facilitate judicial cooperation in criminal matters, by providing legal and practical advice and to assist in establishing direct contacts between national competent authorities. The EJN Contact Points are also involved in and promote the organisation of training sessions on judicial cooperation in criminal matters.

The EJN website offers e-tools to facilitate cooperation, as well as other practical information, including on cooperation with countries and judicial networks outside the EU.

The EJN is administered by a Secretariat, located at Eurojust in The Hague. The current Head of the EJN Secretariat is Mr Ola LÖFGREN.
